Movement of Persons with Disabilities in the Western Balkans for European Integration

Movement of Persons with Disabilities in the Western Balkans for European Integration is a continuation of an earlier regional project BIDF and should contribute to the democratic stabilization of the Balkan countries and their accession to the EU by strengthening civil society participation in decision-making and policy-making at all levels.

The project should also further strengthen the independent regional network of organizations of persons with disabilities in order to monitor and harmonize domestic laws with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the European Strategy for Persons with Disabilities for the period 2010-2020. and the results listed in the Guidelines for EU support to civil society in the countries in the enlargement process for the period 2014-2020.

The project is managed by ACED agency from Banja Luka, funded by the EU and includes five countries in the region – Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania.
